Overview

Facebook Messenger is a robust, frequently used application. Personally, some of the issues that I have with FB Messenger relate to not being able to find message requests easily from those that I am not FB friends with, not being able to organize Marketplace messages, and not being able to organize my messages in a way that would allow me to remember to follow up with someone. Out of curiosity for what other users might find frustrating with the application, I chose to do a little bit of research just for fun.

Quantitative User Survey

In order to gain further insight into how and what other people use Facebook Messenger for, their pain points, and any other thoughts they might have, I put out a quick 3 minute survey using Typeform.

UX Recommendations

  • Implement a way of allowing customers to pin messages to the very top.

  • Allow customers to filter down to the messages they need to view in a more efficient way.
