Think About It - Series
I created this series as part of my senior show at Jacksonville State University. Combining my degree in Graphic Design with my minor in Nutrition, I created a series that creatively reflects different foods that are healthy for brain, heart, muscle, and skin/hair health. Each type of food was individually painted by hand with watercolors and then scanned in and cut out in photoshop before placing in their respective category.
Great White Buffalo Clothing Co.
A collection of t-shirt designs I created for Great White Buffalo Clothing Company in Alabama. This start-up company hopes to have their products sold in stores such as Kinnucan's and College gift and book stores in the future.
"Founded in 2016 by Cameron Howard and Bobby Gosselin, The Great White Buffalo came from the idea at a music festival in Gulf Shores, AL called "The Hangout Fest" We were discussing in what ways that we could "BE LEGENDARY" What goals can we conquer? How can we make the most of every moment, and live with no regrets? How can we get people to talk about us or a moment we all shared for the rest of our lives? And lastly, Who is that one person who seems impossible to meet or build a relationship with? As we were thinking about all this, we were also realizing, How come most affordable clothing is just cotton? So we set off on a goal to acquire comfortable shirts that were different in material but were also eco-friendly. We accomplished this goal with our bamboo and organic cotton shirts. Most modern cotton shirts are grown with pesticides which in turn is damaging our ecosystem, where as bamboo needs nothing but water to grow. Even the organic cotton used with the bamboo was grown with no pesticides." - Cameron Howard (CEO)
As the sole Graphic Designer for Graham & Company Commercial Real Estate, I was tasked with overseeing the creation of a new website which launched in 2017. When reviewing the previous website, I noticed that it had several design flaws that prevented a successful user experience. For this project, I utilized the following skills: User Research, Site mapping, Wire-framing and UI Design concepts. I worked directly with the developer assigning goals and working with him to meet these goals to produce the final product.
Transit App Prototype - A quick prototype using Adobe XD
Birmingham Art Association Prototype:
I recently took an Adobe XD UX/UI Design course through the Adobe Education Exchange. As part of the course, I was tasked with choosing a live website that needed a better user experience. I chose the Birmingham Art Association's current site. I instantly noticed several issues including low resolution images, a confusing home page, multiple links to the same pages, and an awkward placement for the navigation bar. Utilizing UX/UI Design skills such as User Research, Personas, Site-mapping, Wire-framing, and Prototyping to develop a website that provides a more successful customer experience.
